North Battleford apartment building fire under investigation


A number of residents were taken to hospital with injuries, police said. No information was available about the exact number of residents and their conditions.

A blaze in an apartment building in North Battleford early on Monday morning is being investigated as suspicious.

North Battleford RCMP said in a news release that officers, North Battleford Fire Service, other area fire departments and paramedics were called to the building in the 1400 block of 102nd St. around 1:30 a.m. and arrived to find it engulfed in flames.

Residents evacuated the building and a number of them were taken to hospital with injuries, police said. No information was available about the exact number of residents and their conditions.
